Oven Temp: 350 Degree F. Oven Cook Time: 25 Minutes
8 Pieces of Bacon
10 Asparagus Stalks
1 Package of Gluten Free Noodles
1 tsp Garlic Power
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
For Cheese Sauce:
1 ½ C Cheese
2 TBS Gluten Free Flour (I use Cup4Cup)
½ C Milk (Whole works the best
2TBS Butter (or Margarine)
Preheat the oven to 350.
Make the cheese sauce following these instructions. Or use your own roux recipe.
Cook the gluten free noodles, and bacon as per instructions. We generally make the bacon to be more crispy so that it isn’t chewy after being in the oven.
I make the cheese sauce, noodles, and bacon at the same time.
While these things are cooking chop the asparagus into inch long pieces, or however long you prefer. Remember to keep checking and stirring the cheese sauce.
The noodles generally are done first so I drain them, and put them in the casserole dish on the side. Throw the asparagus into the dish with the noodles, stir in cheese sauce once it is done.
Chop the bacon to the desired size and stir that in too. Sprinkle some cheese on the top and put in the oven for 35 minutes.
