New Years is such an optimistic time. A feeling of hope inspired by the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new one. I an not the type of person who makes the conventional “resolutions”. I prefer to just try to improve my life and keep up with the positive changes I have already made and work to check things off my lifetime list.
My lifetime list is this list in my mind where I have all the things I want to be, all the things I want to do. Basically it’s like the ideal image of who I want to be. But I like to reflect on all the positive things that I have already checked off the list the year before. Here are some of those things.
I lost 23lbs, and 4 inches around my waist. I still have so much more work to do in that area. I started drinking the recommended amount of water on a consistent basis, I kept up with not smoking cigarettes. I also made huge strides in getting my eating under control. I haven’t been over eating, and I have been eating gluten and drinking soda. Ignoring a gluten sensitivity can take a lot out of you.
I made so many great strides in the mental health department. Letting go of a lot of things, accepting some other things, and moving on. I also started to mend relationships and reconnect with old friends.
What I want from 2017 is basically to keep up on this journey to physical health and mental wholeness. I want to reconnect with my oldest child since we’ve been on shaky grounds lately. By the end of the year I hope to have cut meats out and be on a mostly plant based diet.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season, and that you all have an even better year this year!
