I am a 20-something mother, blogger, crafter, writer, photographer, really the list goes on. I like to bask in the creative glow of life and imagination. Choosing to look on the positive side of things, and feed my inner child. Having two of my own children greatly helps that I am sure. They are my light and I couldn’t imagine life without their beautiful faces. Matthew is 3, and Nathanial is 9.
I am pescatarian. By the end of the year I hope to be completely vegan. I’ve chosen to continue to eat fish in the meantime for financial reasons. Sharing a grocery budget with meat eaters can be a little hard, especially since I also have a gluten sensitivity. Healthy eating has become a passion of mine over the last year. 2016 was so rough, we just needed a little detox.
Fitness is also important to me. Nothing beats being alive, and able to work out, to really use my body to it’s full potential. Here’s hoping one day I am in shape enough to run a 5K.
About the Blog
I started blogging in 2010, I started on this blog actually, I just changed the name a few times, and then the layout. Then switched the hosting from Blogger to WordPress.com back to blogger, now to Wrodpress.org.
It went through the days of not knowing how to write or make great graphics. To noisy layouts that were not so appealing to the eyes. It also went through me accidentally deleting all of my previous posts. This I actually cried about.
Though now it has settled here in the Purl Moon website. It has seen it’s many themes and topics. Though I have been slowly switching it to be more health and fitness centered. It used to be mostly a mommy blog, then it was a crafting blog, a crochet/knit blog, and here we are in 2017 blogging about veganism and the benefits of pescatarian diet. Who knew? I certainly didn’t.
